VinoCheck Launches to Modernize Direct-to-Consumer Wine Compliance
Vancouver, BC - January 8th, 2026
VinoCheck today announced the launch of its direct-to-consumer (DtC) wine compliance platform, designed to help wineries reduce risk and automate compliance work as they sell and ship wine direct-to-consumer in the United States.
What VinoCheck Delivers
The platform provides wineries with:
- Real-time compliance checks on DtC orders
- Real-time destination-based tax calculation
- Heritage district, bottle bill, and other fee management
- License, permit, and filing deadline tracking with reminders
- Convenient reports and exports to streamline filing preparation
The platform is designed to fit into existing winery operations and is integrated with Commerce7. The company has a joint commitment with Awtomic to integrate with Shopify via the Awtomic app in the near future. VinoCheck offers an API built for integrations and welcomes additional partners as it expands its partner ecosystem.
Built by Industry Experts and Operators
VinoCheck was founded by Zach Kamphuis, former VP of Business Development at Commerce7. Board members and advisors include Jeff Carroll (former VP Strategy & Compliance with ShipCompliant and GM, Beverage Alcohol with Avalara) and Andrew Kamphuis (current President of Commerce7 and former President of WineDirect).
“The DtC channel is the biggest growth opportunity for wineries, but selling DtC only gets more and more complicated as a winery grows into new states. We want to see wineries grow and win, so we built this platform with the mission of making wine compliance easy. We want our clients to spend less time on compliance tasks, so they can focus more on growing their business” said Zach Kamphuis, VinoCheck founder & President.
Partnering with Wineries and Compliance Experts
VinoCheck plans to work closely with wineries and compliance consultants to understand real-world operational challenges and continually improve the product’s workflows and features. “If you manage compliance at your winery, or if you’re a 3rd party compliance consultant in the industry, I want to talk to you” shared Zach Kamphuis. “We want to partner with our clients, and work collaboratively to outline our future development and roadmap to ensure we’re meeting the real needs of our customers”.
