About Us

VinoCheck is a Canadian software company making wine compliance easier, more accurate, and more affordable. We build tools that help wineries manage complex requirements and reduce the time spent on compliance.

Our founding team brings deep experience building software for the wine industry. We’re expanding our existing product team. This is a newly created position to support our growth, not a replacement for an existing team member.


The Role

We’re hiring a frontend developer with 3–5+ years of professional experience to build intuitive, reliable interfaces for our wine compliance platform.

You’ll work with JavaScript, React, Redux, and Mantine to turn complex workflows into software that is straightforward to use. This role offers meaningful ownership of features and the opportunity to shape the user experience as the platform grows.


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain frontend features and reusable components using React and JavaScript.

  • Translate designs and business requirements into clear, user-friendly interfaces.

  • Implement responsive layouts using Mantine, HTML, and CSS, with attention to detail and visual consistency.

  • Integrate frontend features with our RESTful JSON API.

  • Manage application state using Redux.

  • Improve performance, accessibility, and compatibility across devices and browsers.

  • Troubleshoot issues and write appropriate automated tests.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend architecture and development practices.


Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of professional frontend development experience.

  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience integrating with REST APIs.

  • Familiarity with state management patterns; Redux experience is an asset.

  • Experience using component libraries; Mantine experience is an asset.

  • Experience with modern frontend build tools such as Vite.

  • A good understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and UI/UX principles.

  • Familiarity with Git and pull request workflows.

  • Ability to break down complex requirements, propose solutions, and follow work through to completion.

  • Must be based in Canada and legally authorized to work full-time.

Experience with SaaS platforms or multi-tenant applications is an asset. Wine industry experience is not required.
